About Cathy
Years spent performing on stage and in the studio eventually led me to realise that teaching is where I find the most purpose. I must admit that I still get nervous before a big performance, even after 8 years of navigating the professional music world. My focus remains on helping beginners get comfortable with reading tabs, mastering rhythm guitar, and finally hitting those tricky barre chords without frustration.
I love watching a student transition from struggling with chord transitions to playing through scales and modes with confidence. Whether we are digging into improvisation and soloing or exploring power chords and ear training, I keep things grounded in actual music. When I am not teaching, I am usually just tinkering with my own gear or finding new ways to make complex concepts feel simple.

By prioritising tactile feedback, I ensure that you understand the mechanics behind every note you play. It feels quite rewarding to see a student finally lock in a rhythm that used to feel impossible just 1 session ago.
