About Sharon
Nasality and liaison sounds often turn a simple sentence into a tongue-twister for most intermediate students. You might be standing at a café counter in Paris, only to have your order misunderstood because of a slight pronunciation slip. We spend time on dialogue practice and business French to ensure you sound like a local rather than a textbook.
My McGill training ensures that the grammar mechanics remain simple and accessible. We also utilize mock DELF papers with detailed feedback to sharpen your accuracy. Expect to finish our time feeling much more prepared for your next professional or social interaction.

Do you find that language learning often feels disconnected from the real world of work and travel? Growing up in Trois-Rivieres, I lived a life split between two languages, which helps me understand the friction you feel as an adult learner. I earned my MA in French and CELTA at McGill University to bridge that gap for others. Throughout my 13 years of experience, I have coached 322 students ranging from professionals relocating to Canada to intermediate hobbyists.
Teaching French to Anglophones remains my primary focus because I know exactly where the linguistic hurdles hide. My approach is direct and articulate, prioritizing clarity over fluff. Working with people who are serious about their progress makes my day quite enjoyable.
