About Margaret
Hi! My name is Meg (she/her), and I'm a current third year at UC Berkeley pursuing a double major in Environmental Sciences and Society & Environment.
I have experience as a summer teacher for 1st-3rd graders in the subjects of Math, English, Vocabulary, Grammar, and Reading Comprehension, as well as a high school peer tutor for students taking Honors Chemistry, Honors Geometry, and Honors English. Additionally, I've worked with kids in STEM summer camps in creative and fun settings, totaling in 5 years of tutoring and teaching experience.
I'm very passionate about finding joy in learning, and I hope to bring this perspective to lessons!

As a current student myself, I believe in prioritizing learning over the grade on your transcript. My main goal is to help students gain more confidence with the material they struggle with and retain the knowledge, instead of studying simply to achieve an A or good test score.
Reading/Writing/Grammar:
- I have experience teaching 1st-3rd grade reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and writing.
- Lessons can include help with reviewing grammar/literary material, editing essays, and studying for tests, depending on the student's needs.
The structure for lessons in any subject can be adjusted to each student's needs, and I am able to provide supplemental worksheets or problems as requested.
