About Niki
I’m an Iranian musician, electronic music producer, sound designer, and DJ with a background in both traditional and electronic music. I graduated from Berklee College of Music, where I studied Electronic Production & Design, with a focus on music production, sound design, synthesis, and game audio.
Before Berklee, I studied piano performance and trained extensively in music theory and instrumental performance. This combination of traditional musicianship and electronic production has shaped the way I approach both creating and teaching music.
As a DJ, I’ve performed across the East Coast, including Boston, New York, Providence, Maine and Miami and have experience performing in clubs, underground events, and radio. Alongside performing and producing, I’ve also worked professionally in live sound and have experience teaching music to students of different ages and backgrounds.
My goal as a teacher is to give students a strong technical foundation while helping them develop their own musical identity and creative direction.

My lessons cover electronic music production, sound design, DJing, creative work in Ableton Live and production with musical hardware such as Elektron gear. I tailor each lesson to the student’s experience and goals, whether you’re completely new to electronic music or want to develop your production and performance skills.
For music production, we can work on Ableton Live, synthesis, sampling, drum programming, arrangement, effects, audio processing, recording, and developing a track from an initial idea into a finished piece. For sound design, I focus on understanding synthesis and creating your own sounds rather than simply relying on presets.
For DJing, I teach beatmatching, phrasing, EQing, transitions, track selection, set building, music organization, and performance using Serato, Rekordbox, or Traktor.
My approach combines my background in electronic production and sound design at Berklee with my experience as a performing DJ and musician. Lessons are practical and creative, and can focus entirely on production, sound design, DJing, or a combination depending on what you want to learn.
