About Ashwathi

Greetings, I am Ashwathi M D, a seasoned Bharathanatyam dancer with a profound passion for this ancient art form. For over 18 years, I have immersed myself in the graceful movements and intricate rhythms of Bharathanatyam, honing my skills and deepening my understanding of its rich cultural heritage. My journey as a dancer has been a remarkable one, marked by unwavering dedication and countless hours of practice. This commitment has led me to achieve a remarkable milestone - a diploma in Bharathanatyam. Through the years, I have not only mastered the traditional techniques and expressions that define this dance, but I have also evolved my own distinctive style that infuses modern sensibilities with the classical foundation. As a dancer, I believe in the power of storytelling through movement. Every step I take, every gesture I make, is a reflection of a narrative waiting to be told. My performances are a harmonious blend of intricate footwork, emotive expressions, and captivating storytelling that leave a lasting impression on audiences. expressions come to life through every graceful movement Yours in dance, Ashwathi M D

About the lesson

With a teaching experience of over 10 years, both in the physical and digital realms, I have found a true calling in imparting my knowledge to eager minds. My approach to teaching is rooted in patience, empathy, and a keen understanding of individual learning styles. I tailor my lessons to suit each student's unique abilities and aspirations, guiding them through the traditional techniques while encouraging them to explore their own creativity.

What sets my teaching apart is my focus on the holistic development of my students. I not only teach the dance itself but also nurture their confidence, discipline, and ability to connect deeply with the art. Through a combination of traditional teachings and innovative methodologies, I empower my students to embrace Bharathanatyam not just as a dance but as a way of life.
