About Abe

I completed a BA in Education at the Universidad de Puerto Rico while working in the Bilingual Education Program teaching ESL in elementary public schools as well as in ABE programs in the metropolitan area of the island. Due to these experiences, I was recruited to teach in Migrant Education in Chester County, Pennsylvania’s Middle School as well as in ABE Program. Following these experiences working with Hispanic migrants/immigrants and other nonnative English speakers, I began to work on a MS in English as a Second Language at West Chester University. Due to unexpected life experiences which resulted in career changes while working as an Academic Advisor on campus. Due to my language and educational background, I began working at a Family Counseling Center as a Counselor in the chemical dependency field by providing individual, codependency persons, COA clients as well as DUI court stipulated offenders. Migrating to Florida, I worked as a Human Services Counselor providing education and therapeutic groups as well as individual counseling sessions in the substance abuse field through the Florida DOC Prison Programs in their Inpatient Substance Abuse Programs at Brevard Correctional Institution and Orange County Reception Center and later as a Title I Teacher with the inmate population. I also worked with Florida’s DCF investigating allegations of child abuse, abandonment or neglect and the Agency of Disabilities making sure that homes were in compliance with state rules and regulations. Prior to retirement, I worked as a P/T Drug and Alcohol Traffic Awareness, Advanced Driving Instruction Instructor, DUI Level I & Level II Instructor, Special Services Supervision and DUI Evaluator with Central Florida Safety Council and completed an MS in Mental Health Counseling at Spring Field College in Tampa Florida.

Abe G Santini, BA Education, MS Mental Health Counseling is a bilingual (Spanish/English and/or English/Spanish) bi-cultural male with a Bachelor's Degree in Education and a Master's Degree in Mental Health experienced in working in the mental health, counselling, substance abuse, and educational fields in various capacities.
