About Loïk

Hi! I'm currently studying electrical engineering at Polytechnique Montréal, after completing my CEGEP studies in Pure and Applied Sciences.

French has always been an important part of my education and daily life, and I am fully bilingual in French and English. I am comfortable explaining ideas in either language and adapting my explanations to different levels and learning styles.

I also have experience working with students through tutoring, mentoring, and extracurricular activities. These experiences have taught me how to explain concepts clearly, adapt to different students, and create a comfortable environment where you can ask questions and learn at your own pace.

Whether you want to improve your French for school, prepare for an exam, work on your grammar and writing, or become more comfortable speaking, I will adapt our lessons to your goals and current level.

About the lesson

I offer French tutoring for students from secondary school through CEGEP and early university, as well as learners of different ages and levels.

My teaching approach focuses on understanding and using French naturally. I first identify your current level and the areas where you need the most improvement. Then, we work through the material step by step using clear explanations, examples, and practical exercises. I adapt the pace and difficulty to your level and goals.

A typical lesson starts with a quick review of the material or skills you have been working on. We then focus on the areas that need improvement, followed by guided exercises and conversation practice. I encourage you to actively use French during the lesson while helping you identify and correct mistakes. We finish by reviewing the key concepts and, when appropriate, setting exercises for independent practice.

I can help with grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, and conversation. Lessons can also focus on school assignments, exam preparation, presentations, or improving your ability to communicate comfortably in French.

What sets me apart is my bilingual background and experience working with students. As a student at Polytechnique Montréal, I use both French and English on a daily basis and can explain difficult concepts clearly in either language. I focus on creating lessons that are practical, personalized, and adapted to each student.
