About Carolina
My name is Carolina, and I am 23 years old. I am a passionate and dedicated educator with a Bachelor in Bilingual Primary Education (Spanish–English), graduated in 2025. I have over 2,400 hours of teaching experience through professional placements, as well as experience working as a Teacher Aide and in OOSH. I enjoy creating engaging, supportive, and student-centered learning environments where learners feel confident and motivated. I am enthusiastic about helping students of all ages develop their skills, build confidence, and achieve their personal learning goals.

My Approach to Tutoring and Teaching
My approach to tutoring is student-centered, engaging, and tailored to each learner’s individual needs, goals, and learning style. I aim to create a supportive and positive environment where students feel confident to participate, make mistakes, and grow. I believe that building strong relationships and trust is key to effective learning.
Techniques and Teaching Methodology
I use a combination of communicative and interactive teaching methods, particularly for ESL learners, focusing on real-life language use, speaking confidence, and comprehension. My lessons incorporate a variety of strategies such as guided practice, games, visual supports, and differentiated activities to suit different learning styles. I also scaffold learning carefully, breaking down concepts and gradually increasing complexity to ensure understanding and success. For primary and secondary students, I align my teaching with curriculum outcomes while adapting content to make it engaging and accessible.
Typical Length of a Lesson
Lessons typically run for 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the student’s age, needs, and concentration levels. Shorter or longer sessions can be arranged if required.
Qualifications and Experience
I am a recent graduate (2025) with a Bachelor in Bilingual Primary Education (Spanish–English) and have accumulated over 2,400 hours of practical teaching experience through my professional placements. I have also worked as a Teacher Aide and in OOSH, supporting students across different age groups, including early years learners. Additionally, I completed a five-month full-time teaching placement in New South Wales, where I gained experience delivering lessons, supporting diverse learners, and working within the Australian education system.
