About Bethany
My family and I moved from Yorkshire to the South of France when I was 6 years old. Having English parents and going to a small French village school with not one classmate or teacher that spoke English made me become bilingual pretty quickly. Years later, now living in Shropshire I am keen to share my passion for both languages.

During my schooling in France we would have English lessons, which to English people is the equivalent of having French lessons in school, so usually just your basic French. Our English lessons were actually given by a French teacher. I used to think "These words we would never use in a day to day conversation in England, it's way too formal" or "That's not how you say that word". (I obviously had to keep this to myself!). After experiencing this all the way through my French schooling my method of teaching is to teach you the words that you will actually use. Not the formal words that you would never use when speaking to your friends over dinner. I want to teach you to speak like the locals and not for people to look at you sideways when you come out with a Shakespeare quote. That's my teaching method.
