About Kirsten
I am an enthusiastic bilingual language tutor with 7+ years of experience as a non-formal educator and 9+ years of duties and education as a Spanish-English interpreter and translator. I have over 2,650 documented hours working with K-12 youth in a variety of settings. And I have successfully taught 5 online, multi-week zoom workshop series to 5-10 regular participants on an international scale. I have been formally hired as a Spanish-English interpreter for a ski resort, a backpacking guiding company, and a medical device development company.

I can assist English second language learners (specializing in Spanish speakers) with reading comprehension, grammar, writing, school assignments, conversational practice and more.
Please keep in mind, I am here to help you learn, not to do the work for you.
I will not be creating lesson plans. This is more of a fluid sort of tutoring.
I really want my students to understand the material they are studying, and to walk me through why they believe their answer is correct, regardless of whether or not it is correct. When there seems to be confusion, I ask the student to ask me any questions that they have, instead of trying to muddle through.
