Bilingual French tutor in NYC — conversation-first lessons that get you speaking from day one. NYU grad, educator, all levels welcome.

I have known Sylvie for several decades, and, as a high school and university French professor for 25 years, I can attest to her passion and skills as a teacher and her kindness and support as a person. Her language foundation in both French and English is extensive, and her general education is impressive. Her compassion and student-centered approach create a personalized, relevant learning environment that allows students to feel relaxed and have fun. I recommend learning a language with Sylvie, whose professionalism and culturally sensitive methods will help you progress no matter what your language skill level.

I wanted to relearn French for the longest time but couldn’t find the right tutor. My friend introduced me to Sylvie and I became her student. She’s a WONDERFUL and knowledgeable tutor! She’s polite, kind, and very passionate about speaking and teaching French! Plus, she makes the lessons very enjoyable :)
