About Mary
I have worked as an ESL teacher in a Primary school in Mexico, teaching Years 1, 3 and 4. I was responsible for planning and delivering classes of various lengths and levels as well as designing learning materials. I also ran homework help club and intensive summer courses. In total, I have taught approximately 80 students, some of them also participating in one-to-one tuition with me.
Many of the students I have taught had no prior knowledge of English and made good progress over several months, the majority being able to hold a basic conversation, read at grade level and achieve high exam scores. The older students I have taught who already had a good level of English enjoyed practicing and furthering their skills in my classes. They also performed highly in exams and enjoy taking part in discussions in English.

I am a TEFL qualified ESL teacher with experience in Primary education. I am also completing a certificate to specialize in giving online classes, offering flexibility in teaching hours and materials. I am able to modify classes to focus on particular areas of grammar, vocabulary, oral/written language etc. depending on the student's needs.
