About Shade
Hi! My name is Shade, and I’m a senior at the International French School of Cape Town. I was born in Côte d’Ivoire and moved to South Africa four years ago, which has shaped the way I see the world and connect with different cultures and languages. I’ve always been drawn to stories—whether through film, photography, or writing. Ever since I was little, I’ve been filling notebooks with stories and ideas. I used to dream of becoming a famous author, and although I’ve taken a new path toward filmmaking, writing is still one of my biggest passions. In September, I’ll be starting film school in London to study what I love most: visual storytelling. I’m excited to share the tools and perspectives I’ve developed over the years—especially my love for language, creativity, and expression. As a tutor, I bring patience, empathy, and a creative approach to every lesson. Whether you’re working on grammar, writing, or just want to feel more confident speaking, I’m here to support your progress in a way that makes sense for you.
