About Nhat
Hello! My name is Nhat Hao Huynh, or you guys can call me Winston Huynh. I hold a degree in English from the University of California, Riverside, where I honed my skills in writing and critical analysis. My educational journey has equipped me with the tools to deliver creative and impactful instruction tailored to each student's needs.
As a bilingual tutor fluent in both English and Vietnamese, I bring a unique perspective to language learning. My ability to communicate in Vietnamese allows me to effectively support ESL students, making the transition to English smoother and more intuitive.
My experience extends beyond traditional teaching roles. As a former Teach for America tutor, I have developed innovative strategies to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds. Additionally, my work as a behavioral technician has given me a deep understanding of how to support students with varied learning and behavioral needs. This background enables me to create a learning environment that is both structured and empathetic, ensuring that every student feels valued and understood.
I am committed to providing personalized and flexible tutoring that focuses on the quality of each student's learning journey. Whether you are looking to improve your English language skills, excel in English Language Arts, or need support in managing learning challenges, I am here to help you succeed.
I look forward to working with you and guiding you on your educational path. Let's achieve your academic goals together!

My teaching method is student-centered and adaptable, designed to meet the unique needs of each learner. I utilize a mix of direct instruction, interactive activities, and real-world applications to make lessons engaging and effective.
A Typical Lesson Plan:
- Warm-Up (5-10 minutes)
- Introduction (10-15 minutes): Presenting the new topic with clear objectives and connections to prior knowledge.
- Guided Practice (20-30 minutes): Hands-on activities, discussions, and exercises to apply new concepts with my support.
- Independent Practice (15-20 minutes): Allowing students to work on tasks independently to reinforce learning.
- Review and Feedback (10-15 minutes): Summarizing key points, addressing questions, and providing constructive feedback.
- Homework/Extension (if applicable): Assigning tasks to extend learning beyond the lesson.
With experience as a behavioral technician, I bring a deep understanding of how to manage and motivate students with diverse needs, including those with behavioral challenges because I, myself, have experienced the difficulties on the journey of learning something new.
Also, my background with Teach for America has equipped me with innovative teaching strategies and a commitment to educational equity.
I prioritize building strong relationships with my students, understanding their individual goals, strengths, and areas for improvement to tailor my instruction accordingly.
My lessons are designed for middle and high school students, typically ranging from grades 6-12. I cater to:
+ ESL Students: Those who are learning English as a second language and need support in language acquisition and fluency.
+ ELA Students: Those looking to improve their skills in English Language Arts, including reading, writing, grammar, and literature analysis.
+ Students with Behavioral Needs: Leveraging my experience as a behavioral technician to support students who require a structured and empathetic approach to learning.
