About Sunny
I've been a nurse for 15 years. Received my BSN from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, MSN from University of North Carolina Greensboro, and DNP from Duke University. Prior to that, I attained a BS in Biology from Arizona State University and worked in USDA government research. As a nurse, I was trained at a large academic tertiary care research/teaching organization with a foremost global presence, Duke University Hospital. My nursing specialties include Critical Care/ICU (cardiothoracic surgical), solid tumor oncology, and medical/surgical. On a personal note, I have an 18-year-old African Grey parrot and two toilet (not litter box) trained kittens. I look forward to helping you achieve your goals! You've got this!

Your time and money are valuable. Nursing relies heavily on a teach-back method for our understanding of process and for patient safety. For example, med calc, I can do one to demonstrate & you do a problem independently to teach it back to me to ensure your understanding. Same for tricky clinical scenario questions you may encounter on the NCLEX exam. I also have a knack of breaking down complex information from your Pharmacology, Anatomy/Physiology, Microbiology, and Pharmacology courses and applying them to your clinical rotations for context. I can also tutor to non nursing students, high school or college level biology courses. Happy to teach English as a first language, too!
