About Edgar

I am incredibly passionate about traveling! I'm so passionate that I have challenged myself to travel to 40 countries before I turn 40 years of age. FYI, I have 20 more countries to go and only have nine years to do it!

Throughout my travels, I have had the privilege to visit multiple Latin American countries and without a doubt, I always undergo a genuine and authentic experience simply because I can speak Spanish.

Whether you are learning Spanish because you want to travel, learn for your significant other, or simply enjoy languages, my goal will always be to give you an authentic learning experience. I am passionate about language, patient, and driven to open up a brand new world to you. Let's get started!

About the lesson

My approach to the Spanish language is simply to practice conversationally. My lessons will encompass everyday questions you ask your friends and family such as "how was your day?" and "what did you do over the weekend?"

From here, I will simply ask my students to introduce themselves and the reasons for wanting to learn Spanish, all while jotting down key ideas, likes, dislikes, and ask about everything they mention. I will always treat this as a two-way conversation so my students are exposing themselves to hearing Spanish being spoken to them.

Additional supplemental work can include watching videos and reading a few passages from books, news articles, or any topic that interests them and have follow-up conversations about those topics to understand how much of the topic was understood.

So to summarize, I will engage fully with my students and get them incredibly comfortable speaking Spanish.
