About Heather
My expertise is AQA English Language GCSE; I'm a fully trained examiner in Paper 1 and 2; have taught
the new specification full time since its inception in 2017, and have had private students achieve Grade 7
and 8. My experience as an English teacher has been diverse, having worked in Manchester, Kuala
Lumpur, Penang and Birmingham, in language schools, public schools and universities.

Having taught students with a multitude of language needs, I am experienced in doing thorough diagnostics to get to the root of areas to be worked on, and offer effective teaching methods that take into account a variety of preferred ways of learning. I enjoy a good rapport with students and have high expectations of working in a positive learning environment, conducive to students making progress and having an enjoyable and respectful experience.
