About Skye
I am a passionate Guitar tutor with more than 11 years of experience working with college students. I focus on making guitar learning enjoyable, practical, and rewarding.
My teaching style is student-centred and encouraging. I listen carefully to students’ goals and interests. Whether a student wants to play for relaxation or improve technical skills, I adjust my lessons accordingly.
I use innovative teaching approaches such as song-focused lessons, step-by-step technique building, and guided practice routines. I help students understand rhythm, chord progressions, and strumming patterns in an easy way. I also use creative exercises to improve finger coordination and musical expression.
I introduce different playing styles including acoustic, pop, rock, and blues basics. I also guide students in improvisation and ear training to build confidence and creativity.
I believe a positive learning environment helps students grow faster. I always encourage steady practice and provide clear feedback. My goal is to help college students gain strong guitar skills and develop a lifelong interest in music.

I teach Guitar with a focus on creativity, critical thinking, mentorship, and accountability. I believe learning music should be both enjoyable and meaningful. I encourage students to explore different styles, improvise, compose, and develop their personal sound.
Critical thinking is central to my lessons. I teach students to analyse songs, understand chord progressions, and recognise patterns, helping them play confidently and make creative musical choices.
I incorporate accountability by helping students set realistic goals, practise regularly, and track their growth. Constructive feedback and positive reinforcement help students stay motivated and confident.
Along with Guitar, I teach music theory, ear training, songwriting, and performance skills. Each lesson is designed to suit the student’s level, interests, and learning style, creating an engaging and supportive environment.
My aim is to mentor students into becoming independent, creative, and confident musicians who can play, compose, and enjoy music for life.
