About Valencia
Adult learners often assume that classical repertoire is too rigid or intimidating to approach later in life. My work with 295 students reveals that musical growth is a lifelong pursuit rather than a race to the finish line. After 7 years of performing in NYC and on tour, I transitioned into a teaching role where I help teens and advanced students refine their musical identity.
My BMus background informs every technical choice we make during our time together. I focus on the intersection of solid piano technique and the emotional intelligence required for great music making.
My personal journey through the industry allows me to offer insights that go beyond simple note reading. I find that my most successful students are those who are ready to challenge their current habits. Whether we are focusing on chord voicing or complex memorization techniques, the goal remains the same. I look forward to working with you on your musical path.

My lessons leverage my BMus degree to teach you how to analyze music theory and sight transposition with total accuracy.
Advanced learners and grade exam candidates appreciate the structure I bring to each hour. We look at the music from a performer perspective to ensure you understand the narrative arc of every piece. We refine your sight playing until the page feels like an extension of your own thoughts. My goal is to help you play with freedom.
