About Lochana
Hello! My name is Lochana Srirangan, and I am a dedicated Life Science student at the University of Toronto. With over three years of tutoring experience, I have successfully helped students in grades 1-8 excel in English, Math, Science, and History. As a tutor, my approach focuses on making learning personalized and engaging for students in grades 1-8 in English, Math, Science, and History. I emphasize active learning by tailoring lessons to each student’s individual learning style, whether visual, auditory, or kinesthetic.
Each session begins with a brief review of previous material, followed by an interactive introduction to the day's topic using real-world examples and hands-on activities. I guide students through practice exercises and allow them to apply what they've learned independently, wrapping up with a recap and goal-setting for the next session.
What sets me apart is my patience, adaptability, and ability to connect with students of all skill levels. Having worked with diverse learners through Kumon and private tutoring, I tailor my teaching to meet each child's unique needs, aiming not only to improve academic performance but also to instill confidence and a love for learning. My lessons are perfect for students seeking extra help, wanting to challenge themselves, or looking to build confidence in their studies, whether through in-person sessions in Brampton or convenient online tutoring.
