About Lorenzo

Ever since I was 5 years old, I have attended an international school: this enables me to work well with individuals from any culture and to adapt to their needs. I know first hand how tricky it can be to learn a second language (I speak Italian, English, and French), as well as the difference a good teacher can make! I am 28 years old and believe that learning should be fun and accessible to all: gone are the days of trite exercises on a white and black photocopy. My strength as a tutor lies in my approach of combining visual media with an interactive approach, having experienced first hand how difficult it can be to feel stimulated and engaged by a teacher/homework that feel repetitive and trite.

About the lesson

I have tutored in middle and high school, as well as college students and adults for the past 13 years. My lessons last for 1 hour (or more), during which we will go over any homework you might have, questions that arise, and/or review any area you feel might be most important. If you have exercises we can go over them together or I can prepare activities for us to do. For instance, we could watch scenes from movies and TV shows in Italian with English subtitles, converse in Italian, and centre your lessons around your hobbies and interests, so as to further engage and motivate you. I have no standard approach: every case is unique, and each lesson suited to your needs. Whether you are 12 years old or 50 and above, I am the type of tutor that can easily adapt to your learning style.
