About Parmida
Salam! My name is Parmida. I was born in Tehran and lived there for 18 years. I went to one of the best high schools in the country, which is where I found my love for the Persian language. Ever since I immigrated to Canada, I feel like I have grown even fonder of my language. I'm always looking to spread my culture and my language and what better way to do that than teaching it? :)

As Persian has an alphabet that is wildly different from the Latin alphabet, I think the best course of action would be to familiarize the students with the language first by having them learn simple words and phrases first. After that, if the student wants to learn the alphabet, we begin putting letters to sounds and learning the alphabet bit by bit. After a few lessons, I will encourage my students to include the words they've learned intermixed with English to make them more comfortable in using the words more frequently and also help with memorization.

I’ve known her since highschool and as far as I remember she has always been really professional in English language and helping her classmates who were struggling with english. She takes her time to explain things well and pay attention to her students.Most importantly, she has a really kind personality which makes her not only a great teacher but also a supportive friend.
