About Fabiano

25 years working as a private and school teacher. I worked for 18 months in the USA as Spanish and Portuguese teacher in a High School and in language school. Nowadays I have students in many different regions who study through Skype. I finished a specialisation course on teaching second languages in University Antonio de Nebrija, Madrid and keep teaching Spanish and Portuguese. I speak English, Spanish, French (intermediate) and native Portuguese. I have a C2 DELE degree in Spanish.

About the lesson

I work with an expanded constructive method which is an associative approach trying to connect the student’s day by day life with authentic material and didactic book as reference. As the class is individual, during the class I pick up the situation that the student is in and, from there, I develop the class following the basic rules of grammar depending on the level of contact with the language. Besides the book, I use subject based on the news or videos that I send to the student through Internet during the class or for analysing in periods between classes. I also suggest movies and cultural themes to be discussed.

Deadly! I had around 10 lessons with Fabiano before a 2-month trip to Brazil and they were a huge help to my Portuguese. Fabiano is a very experienced and professional teacher and he knew what I needed for my level. The conversations were always interesting and enjoyable and the lesson content was varied - for example, we used music to practice pronunciation and to learn new vocabulary from lyrics, e eu gostei da musica! Cheers!
