About Zarak
I have worked in children's education for several years and am constantly delighted by the curiosity and energy they bring – they think up questions of all kinds and look at the world through fresh eyes. I aim to create a supportive, engaging environment where they feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. Helping them develop not just academically, but also into thoughtful, expressive individuals, is what makes this work so meaningful to me.

I focus on building strong foundations in reading, writing, and analysis, using a mix of discussion-based learning, structured exercises, and creative tasks. I aim to make English accessible, enjoyable, and relevant—whether we're unpacking a poem or refining an essay. I also use a wide variety of texts to give students a wide-ranging scope of reading options. I use guided close reading of literary texts, critical cross-examination of concepts and give constructive, actionable feedback that can help students find their own writing voice as they develop their critical thinking skills. My lessons are around 45 to 60 minutes, weekly or bi-weekly, depending on the student's needs. I have a master's in English Literature and have worked as an editor for a children's reference publisher for three years. I have also worked with charity organisations to provide English lessons to disadvantaged students.
