About Joshua
I originally trained as a musician before studying theater in college and then combining both of these loves to work within the world of musical theater.
Alongside this I found work as an instrument teacher in high schools as well as working as a skills specialist in performing arts schools across London.
Since moving to the US in 2022, I have lived and worked in both NY and LA, and have shifted my focus towards teaching English Literature and Theater, with a soft spot for Shakespeare.

As a tutor my desire is to make stories digestible; whether that's working through a piece of classic or contemporary literature, or the dense archaic language of Shakespeare.
My approach will always be to view the piece of art through the perspective of the student and identify the best way to comprehend the piece within both its original context, and the modern one through which we view it now.
