About Lydia
Hi! I’m a Psychology graduate with a BSc and MSc in Psychology, specialising at postgraduate level in Forensic Psychology. I also studied Psychology at A level and have been working in a psychologically informed forensic setting for 7 years, giving me both a strong academic background and extensive practical experience.
My professional experience has given me extensive experience communicating complex ideas clearly and adapting my approach to different people. I regularly facilitate psychologically informed group work in a forensic setting, working with adults with a wide range of needs, personalities and learning styles. This has taught me how to explain challenging concepts in an accessible way, build rapport and create a supportive environment where people feel comfortable asking questions without judgement.
I’m passionate about psychology and particularly enjoy helping others develop their understanding and confidence in the subject. I’d love to help students not only achieve their academic goals, but genuinely enjoy and understand psychology along the way.

My lessons are friendly, supportive and tailored to each student. I can provide support with GCSE, A-level and undergraduate Psychology, including essay writing, critical analysis, research methods, exam preparation and understanding more complex psychological theories and concepts.
Whether you’re struggling with a particular topic, want help structuring an essay, need to improve your exam technique or simply want to build your confidence, I’ll work with you to identify what you need and adapt sessions accordingly.
I believe psychology is much easier to understand when complex ideas are broken down into clear, manageable concepts. I’ll encourage you to ask questions, challenge ideas and develop your own understanding rather than simply memorising information — no question is too silly!
I can also offer particular support with forensic psychology, criminology-related topics, psychological theories of offending and applying psychology to real-world situations.
