About Yuriko
Hi, I’m Yuriko!
Thank you for visiting my profile. I’m a native Japanese speaker from Chiba, Japan, and I teach Japanese to adult learners from beginner to intermediate levels.
I love helping students who are learning Japanese for travel, work trips, or because they are planning to live in Japan. I focus on real, everyday conversation so that you can start using Japanese right away in daily life.
I have over 20 years of professional work experience in Japan, so I can also guide you in polite workplace expressions, communication style, and what it is like to work in a Japanese office environment. If you are preparing for work or relocation, I can help you feel confident and comfortable in those settings as well.
I began teaching Japanese because learning English opened my world. I want to support others in the same way so you can enjoy new connections, new experiences, and new confidence.
I enjoy yoga, jogging, and watercolor painting, and I bring that same calm and steady feeling into my lessons: one step at a time, with kindness and patience.

I’ll do my best to support you, so you can reach your goals as efficiently and enjoyably as possible.
★Lesson Style★
I basically use:
「Japanese for Busy People」
or
「いろどり」 (Irodori: Japanese for Life in Japan)
I create custom slides and exercises based on your level.
If you prefer a more relaxed session, we can also do free conversation about topics you enjoy.
There is no pressure or rush.
We learn slowly and steadily, celebrating progress step by step.
