About Me Hello! I'm Justin, a native English speaker from the US, currently pursuing a Master's in Economics at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Unlike standard English tutors, I bring real-world corporate experience to our lessons. I hold an MBA and have worked as a Product Manager for major global companies, including Toyota and Meta. I specialize in helping French professionals and students bridge the gap between "academic English" and the English actually used in top-tier business and university environments. Trained to do it and have actually done it before: For 2 years during my MBA, I worked in the Business Career Services Center at the University of Florida College of Business, where I helped students develop their career goals, refine their resumes, and prepare for interviews. During my second year, I was promoted to supervise all graduate teaching assistants within the College of Business and personally led a project to increase the job placement rate for international students. Former Recruiter: During my 2+ years at Toyota North America, I worked on a team recruiting MBA students for internships and full-time roles. I reviewed resumes, interviewed candidates, and made hiring decisions. A common part of admission to US business schools is an interview of applicants by current students, of which I was a part, and understand what current students and admissions counselors look for. Real World Experience: I've presented in the boardroom and on TV, and across cultures. I got my start as a TV and radio presenter, where I learned to create and deliver effective presentations. I refined this skill in the corporate world, speaking to top executives from around the world. That is not just in the US, but also in Asia and Europe. In English: How I Teach The teaching style I use is research-based and modeled on how top business schools in the US prepare students communicate effectively. The system is comprehensive, following a feedback-based Say, Show, Do framework that emphasizes clear and concise communication. It is not a one-size-fits-all program. We will tailor to your specific career goals, simulating real-world scenarios. More Than Just English for American Business Because not everyone speaks the “same” English. I have worked across cultures and countries where individuals have varying levels of English proficiency. Even as a native English speaker, I have to adjust my speaking, writing, and presentations when communicating with different groups. Mastering this is a core aspect of what I hope my students take away from my tutoring. What I offer Business English & Presentation Skills * Vocabulary (and pronunciation) for business * Effective communication across cultures and media. * Presentation skills for the “Boardroom”. Test Prep (GMAT / GRE / TOEFL): * Focus on comprehension and verbal reasoning for high scores. * Strategic coaching for students applying to US MBA or Master's programs. US-focused career coaching. * CV/resume and cover letter editing for US companies. * Job interview preparation (mock interviews for tech/corporate roles). What I Charge: * First 30-minute meeting is free! * €40 per hour thereafter.
