About Jo

Melbourne based Intuitive Abstract Artist Jo Carroll, previously had a successful career in advertising for over 20 years, and only became serious about painting in late 2016.

Jo’s desire to become an artist is one of her earliest childhood memories. Despite being discouraged rather than encouraged, she finally gave into this powerful urge when she became attuned to Reiki (a Japanese relaxation technique based on the notion that an unseen life force energy flows through us) and her creative energy came bursting forth in a way she’d never experienced before.

Her past career helped her to fast track her position as a full time artist and she’s now well regarded by both collectors and gallery directors as a successful fine artist.

About the lesson

Each lesson is tailored to the individual and where they are at in their artistic career.

Most students have been practicing visual art for some years on a part-time based and have a strong desire to take the keep to full-time but lack the confidence or know-how to take the necessary steps to generate a suitable income for themselves.

I cover critical information from the importance of creating a brand and unique point of difference to defining your audience, appropriate pricing model, accounting, marketing strategy, exhibiting, sales and logistics.
