About Samantha
Clear instruction defines my teaching style. I hold a Diploma in Interior Design with CAD from the University of Galway.
My 13 years in the industry mean I know exactly what firms demand from new hires. We focus on dimensioning and annotation, alongside precise drawing with coordinates.
I insist on disciplined layers and layer management. It is funny, but I really enjoy watching students grasp model space and paper space for the first time.
We also cover 3D modeling basics in AutoCAD and the use of blocks and attributes. My approach relies on keyboard-driven efficient drafting, which is faster than using menus. Most of my 403 students appreciate that I emphasize measurement and inquiry tools from the start.

Drafting is not about drawing lines but about building a logical digital database. Teaching efficiency requires a focus on the keyboard rather than the mouse. I bridge the gap between classroom theory and real professional output. I share my screen and we work on real drawing sheets marked up and reviewed together.
This 10 module program helps you handle the Irish Leaving Certificate and Junior Cycle syllabus requirements. You will gain the ability to produce output that is ready for the plotter without extra cleanup. Feel free to reach out if you would like to begin your first drafting session.
