About Sam

Ever since I switched career from teaching nine years ago, I have been looking forward to an opportunity to tutor again. It is a rewarding and challenging experience that demands flexibility and patience and energy, all characteristics which I aim to demonstrate in my day-to-day life.
I am currently a financial investigator with a qualification in accountancy, as well as an amateur novelist with a passion for writing and literature.

About the lesson

Hands on approach to tutoring that both nurtures independent thought and provides positive reinforcement. Experience of creating well planned and interactive lessons / tutorials.
Two years teaching and tutoring experience before switching to current profession as financial investigator - note: no formal teaching qualification. Experience with teaching / tutoring English as an Additional Language (EAL).
Lesson lengths vary depending on requirement (up to 90 minutes)

EAL lessons available for all ages.
English and Maths tutoring available for Years 1 - 6.
Creative Writing tutoring available for all ages.

Deadly! Sam is an amazing tutor! He is very knowledgeable and organised and always comes into the lesson well-prepared. He is very attentive and puts a lot of care and attention into each individual student. He is also a very passionate and fun tutor and his love for writing and literature often inspires our students.
