About Charlotte
Hello! I'm Charlotte – a Cambridge-educated, fully qualified teacher and SENCO with over 12 years of experience in education. I’ve taught in mainstream, independent and specialist settings, supporting a wide range of learners from early years through to Key Stage 3. I bring warmth, professionalism and a tailored approach to every lesson. Whether your child needs help catching up, preparing for exams, building confidence, or stretching their learning further, I’m here to help. I specialise in French, primary subjects, and supporting students with special educational needs—including ADHD, autism, dyslexia and anxiety. With a track record of helping children thrive both academically and emotionally, I’m passionate about creating a calm, engaging environment where students feel safe, supported and motivated to succeed.

I take a personalised and engaging approach to tutoring, tailored to each learner’s needs, confidence level and goals. My teaching style is creative, supportive and structured, combining clear learning objectives with fun, practical activities—especially effective for younger learners or those with SEND. I regularly use games, visuals, role-play (especially in French), and multisensory techniques to make learning memorable and enjoyable. Lessons typically last 45 to 60 minutes and are adapted for the student’s age, attention span and focus. I work with primary-aged children (4–11) as well as KS3 students for French and English, offering both general support and targeted exam preparation, including SATs, 11+, and language assessments. I also support children with additional needs including ADHD, autism, dyslexia and anxiety.
