About Olivia
I graduated from Cambridge with a degree in modern languages. I have always loved words, accents, immersing myself in different cultures and bringing out various sides of my personality when speaking different languages. I want to teach because of this passion for words and communication and for how learning languages helps us to connect with others and build community. People often comment that learning languages at school is mechanical and all about memorising set phrases; it doesn't come alive for them. I have experienced how fun and animating language learning can be and this is what I want to bring to your language learning.

- I use a communicative approach to teaching, emphasising interaction and using language in its context to help my students further develop their language skills.
- My lessons enable students to learn grammar and vocabulary in context, which keeps learning fun and makes the learning process more relevant and interesting to the individual.
- My lessons are 1 hour long.
- I worked at a local school, teaching children Spanish vocabulary and grammar. I am tutoring an Italian man to improve his conversational English. Topics covered have included hobbies, life goals, travelling and current affairs.
- I have worked with children as young as four and have also worked with adults, all with varying levels of prior language knowledge; I am keen to teach any age and level and to make a fun learning experience for all!
