I am a former Naval Education and Training officer, specialising in Professional Military Education. Since 2010, I have lectured, coached and mentored classes of up to 30 personnel in a variety of subjects including:

Through lecturing, seminars and one-to-one tutorials, I deliver bespoke support to students seeking to enhance their knowledge, skills and attitudinal development. Class sizes have ranged between 6-30, depending on subject area, and I have lectured to auditoriums of several hundred. Course delivery have ranged from A-Level to postgraduate.
Lectures are normally 25-30 mins with a further 15-20 mins two-way question and answer. Pre-reading is expected on set topics, and individuals are encouraged to undertake further study. In Seminar groups, individuals deliver a 15-20 min overview of a topic before the floor is opened for guided discussion. Debating is strongly encouraged.
One-to-one sessions focus on the whole student; setting and agreeing learning goals whilst balancing wider commitments, whether personal or professional. I take a coaching approach, holding individuals to account whilst supporting their development.
My focus is on coaching and mentoring students to aid their learning and assimilating knowledge. Using Bloom's taxonomy, we progress through until individuals are able to collate, analyse and evaluate information independently, synthesizing their thoughts to deliver original insight.
