About Chantal

I am an approachable and considerate tutor: I understand the pressures of university life and assignments, and clients are always encouraged to ask questions. I am attentive to clients' needs, and realise the importance of offering detailed feedback without it being overwhelming! Neurodiverse clients are always welcome to suggest ways in which I can make the services work for them. I am also a creative, lateral thinker and enjoy learning about different research areas. I often use my own experience to suggest new ideas to clients that they may not have considered. I take great pride in running a professional service. I am responsive to queries and do my best to accommodate clients' requests (even for short deadlines). I am always transparent with the limits of my services and ask questions to specify the exact requirements of each individual. Key Qualifications: - PhD Psychiatry, University of Cambridge (finishing 2025) - MRes Speech, Language & Cognition [Distinction], UCL (2018) - BSc Medical Sciences with Psychology, part of the MBBS Medicine course [First-Class], UCL (2017)

About the lesson

I offer friendly support with academic writing and research projects through my online editing and tutoring services. This is backed by my decade of experience in academia. I am currently a PhD researcher at the University of Cambridge, where I have also supervised MSc students. I previously completed my (first-class) BSc at UCL medical school, where I won a prize for my outstanding performance. This was followed by a (distinction grade) master's degree. I have also published neuroscience research and presented at international conferences. I am passionate about helping students to maximise their potential, especially as support at university is often lacking. My services can be tailored to clients' individual needs. Common areas that I can help with include - Clear, concise writing - Structuring essays and dissertations - Academic writing style (including APA) - Research methods - R programming - Critical analysis and literature reviews For my editing service, types of documents can include - CVs and personal statements - Dissertations/theses - Essays - Publications for peer-review - Project proposals While my specialist areas are psychology, biomedical science and neuroscience, I have experience editing documents from a variety of fields, including business, economics, counselling, chemistry and maths. I am always delighted to welcome new clients and answer any queries.
