About Rhys
Languages were my favourite subject at school from year 7, but I’ve also found general interest in pretty much anything I don’t know about. I achieved 9s in all my subjects at GCSE, am predicted A* in all my A-Levels (French, German, History and Politics) and (if I make my offer) will go to Cambridge next year to study a strange degree mainly concerned with medieval Germanic languages. I look forward to helping others discover the beauty of humanity’s greatest invention!

I’m a big fan of learning languages through speaking. I’ve found too much of an emphasis on grammar and learning by rote can stunt enthusiasm for discovering new horizons in language, and while there has to be some basis to build from, teaching time would be better served exploring the subject through experience
