About Sharon
"Aspiring drafters often stare at a screen full of lines without knowing how to connect them properly. I remember those long nights early in my 13 years of drafting where I learned that the keyboard is faster than the mouse.
Holding an M.Arch from Dublin City University, I teach AutoCAD using methods that mirror the reality of a busy design office. You will learn arrays and parametric constraints, dimensioning and annotation, and the nuances between model space and paper space.
We will touch on 3D modeling basics in AutoCAD, layouts and plotting, and keyboard-driven efficient drafting. By mastering xrefs and external references, measurement and inquiry tools, and 2D drafting fundamentals, you will see your production speed increase significantly. I emphasize these core techniques because they form the foundation of a successful career in technical drawing. Having supported 204 students in their professional growth, I find it rewarding to watch the technical concepts finally click for a new drafter."
