About Caroline
My journey began with a Certificate in Traditional Music from the Old Town School of Folk Music. Truthfully, I started by ignoring the rules and just trying to mimic the sounds I loved. These 13 years of experience taught me that formal structure must serve the music rather than restrict the player. I work frequently with self-taught players and returning learners who want to bridge the gap between playing by ear and understanding theory.
Watching a student turn a song request into a simplified arrangement remains the highlight of my week. It is genuinely rewarding to help guitarists find the missing link in their technique.
