About Mireya
Clarity in numbers rarely begins with the ledger itself. I find that most students get bogged down by the mechanics before they grasp the logic of double-entry bookkeeping or the flow of trial balances. My work involves simplifying the complexities of GAAP fundamentals and accrual versus cash basis accounting.
It is about building a foundation that makes sense for the long term. After completing my Master of Science in Economics at Columbia Business School, I shifted my focus to teaching managerial accounting and QuickBooks basics. I help students navigate depreciation methods and journal entries with the same precision I once used in an analyst seat. The goal is to make these concepts feel less like a chore and more like a map.
