About Cheryl
Do you want to see yourself playing lead guitar with complete confidence? How does it feel when you finally master reading sheet music and tabs for your favorite songs? I work with grade exam candidates, working professionals, advanced learners, and returning learners to build a strong foundation.
We will tackle power chords and improvisation in a way that respects your time. My BA Musique populaire informs how I break down complex solos for my students. Expect a rhythm-focused approach. You will reach your goal of being a competent player.

The smell of aged wood on my first acoustic guitar started this long path. Having completed my BA Musique populaire at UQAM, I spent 13 years gigging throughout Montreal. I have 9 years of experience showing students how to master power chords, lead guitar, and intricate soloing techniques. Reading sheet music and tabs feels like second nature after decades of stage work.
Improvisation remains my favorite way to express musical ideas during a session. I truly value the connection between a well-crafted melody and a solid rhythm section. Helping you translate those feelings into your own playing is what I do best. I hope to see you soon for a session centered on your musical growth.
