About Michelle
I am a Canadian CPA with more than 15 years of experience in accounting, finance, audit, and financial reporting, including over six years with Deloitte. I also hold a Master’s degree in Accounting and have passed both the CPA Canada Common Final Examination and the U.S. IQEX as part of my U.S. CPA pathway.
Throughout my career, I have trained and mentored junior accountants, reviewed complex accounting work, and explained technical concepts in a clear and practical way. I understand that accounting, tax, Excel, and financial reporting can feel overwhelming at first, so I focus on making difficult topics easier to understand and giving students a structured path forward.
I am professional, patient, and detail-oriented, and I tailor each lesson to the student’s goals and level. Whether you are preparing for REG, taking an accounting course, improving your Excel or QuickBooks skills, or strengthening your understanding of financial reporting, my goal is to help you build real confidence and independence.

already understands, where they are getting stuck, and what they need to accomplish—whether that is passing REG, improving in an accounting course, learning financial reporting, or becoming more confident with QuickBooks or Excel.
I break complex topics into smaller steps, explain the reasoning behind each concept, and use practical examples so the student can apply the material rather than simply memorize it.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of the student’s current questions or weak areas, followed by a focused explanation and guided practice. For CPA and accounting topics, we may work through journal entries, financial statements, tax concepts, reconciliations, or exam-style questions. For Excel or QuickBooks, I use hands-on examples and show how the software connects to real accounting processes.
What sets me apart is my combination of real-world accounting experience and review experience. I am a Canadian CPA with more than 15 years in accounting and finance, including over six years at Deloitte, and I have trained and mentored junior accountants throughout my career. I also passed the IQEX as part of my U.S. CPA pathway, so I understand the demands of professional accounting exams firsthand.
My lessons are appropriate for university accounting students, CPA candidates, adult learners, professionals, and small-business users. I can help with introductory through advanced accounting, financial reporting, audit, REG preparation, QuickBooks, Excel, and practical accounting workflows.
