About Safwan
Investment professional with 8 years' experience in Asset Management, including Apollo Global Management in London. Qualified UK Actuary specialising in Finance, Investment and Derivatives. My roles have always been in the investment divisions with a client interface - looking to break down complex investment strategies in simple ways.
Having worked in the industry in a number of roles, my experience allows me to have a deep insight into the nuances around career paths, the industry landscape and what makes applications stand out at both a graduate and experienced-hire level.
The industry can look complex from the outside, and even once entered there are many avenues a professional can take to direct their career. Notwithstanding the incredibly competitive environment, I aim to cut through the noise and provide clear-cut advice to individuals seeking to launch and further develop their careers.

After years working across Investment Management (including Legal and General Investment Management and Apollo Global Management) in London, I found myself reviewing CVs, interviewing candidates, and helping junior colleagues navigate the early stages of their careers.
The patterns began to emerge. Individuals were not lacking skill or intelligence, they were lacking clarity. I provide clear, honest and industry-tested guidance from the lens of someone hiring individuals as well as applying for jobs and navigating the industry myself.
No noise, no false promises, no generic advice.
