About Soren

I am a dedicated Trumpet tutor with 11+ years of teaching and professional experience. Teaching music has allowed me to inspire school and college students to develop confidence, creativity, and strong performance skills. I believe every student has unique potential, and my role is to help them discover and strengthen those abilities.

My lessons begin with the essential techniques of trumpet playing, including breathing control, posture, embouchure, tone production, articulation, rhythm, scales, sight-reading, ear training, and music theory. As students gain confidence, I introduce more advanced performance techniques and musical interpretation. Every lesson is adapted to the learner's pace and personal goals.

One of the greatest milestones in my career has been helping students perform confidently in concerts, school programmes, competitions, and music examinations. Seeing their dedication turn into success is the most rewarding part of my work.

I believe learning should be enjoyable, encouraging, and interactive. I motivate students to ask questions, practice regularly, and learn from every challenge. Every achievement is celebrated because each step contributes to long-term growth.

Teaching is not simply about learning an instrument. It is about building confidence, discipline, patience, and a lifelong appreciation for music. My goal is to help every student enjoy learning while reaching their highest potential.

About the lesson

My teaching philosophy is centred on helping students discover the joy of playing the trumpet. I believe every student can improve through personalised instruction, patience, and regular practice. My lessons focus on building technical skills while encouraging creativity and confidence.

Motivation helps students stay inspired throughout their musical journey. I encourage learners to enjoy practice, overcome challenges, and continue improving.

Communication creates a strong learning connection. I explain concepts clearly in simple English, demonstrate techniques carefully, and encourage students to communicate their needs.

Integrity guides my teaching through honesty, respect, and dedication. I provide supportive feedback and encourage students to develop responsibility and discipline.

Creativity allows students to explore music in different ways. Lessons include breathing control, articulation exercises, rhythm activities, improvisation, musical expression, and performance training.

Besides trumpet, I teach music theory, ear training, sight-reading, rhythm studies, ensemble playing, beginner improvisation, and music appreciation. My goal is to develop well-rounded musicians who enjoy music for life.
