About Christine
Hi, I’m Christine, a cellist from Taiwan and a recent graduate of the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, where I earned my Master's degree in Cello Performance. I currently perform with the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic and the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra, and I had the honor of serving as Co-Principal Cello with the National Repertory Orchestra in Colorado this past summer. As both a performer and a teacher, I bring my stage experience into every lesson. My goal is to help students build a strong technical foundation while also developing confidence and finding joy in their own music-making. I’ve taught cello, piano, and music theory to students of different ages and levels, from complete beginners to advanced musicians preparing for auditions. Whether you are starting your very first lesson or aiming to perform at a high level, I’m here to guide you and share the skills I’ve learned along the way.

I believe music should be both well-grounded and enjoyable. In my lessons, I focus on building strong fundamentals while encouraging students to find their own musical voice. A typical lesson includes warm-ups, technical work, and then applying those skills to pieces that match the student’s level and interests.
I’ve worked with students from beginners to advanced players preparing for auditions, and I enjoy helping each person reach their goals at their own pace. Whether you’re starting fresh, looking for extra support, or aiming for the stage, I’m here to make your musical journey both productive and inspiring.
