About Dennis
I have been giving lessons for 18 years. Some of my students have gone to higher education in the UK and Canada, others have gotten jobs for which English as required. Most of my Portuguese students have used the language for tourism, and a few to enter college.

I am a native speaker of Brazilian Portuguese and speaker of English at a near-native level. I have a BA in Education, a PGDip in English, and an MA in Education from Bangor University, UK. I am currently working towards a CELTA certificate to be concluded by August 2018.
I have taught languages since 2000, at language schools, middle and high schools, colleges, universities' language centers, online and in person in the UK. Although most of my students are Brazilian, I have had dozens of Chinese and Saudi students as well. I have experience teaching ages 08-60, but I prefer teaching adults rather than children.
My teaching techniques vary, including behaviorism, social constructivism, and flipped classroom. My lessons are direct and effective, avoiding distractions and waste of time.
