About Rachel
I have been a Teaching Assistant in a Primary school in Cambridge for the past year, so have a big background in teaching as well as taking the CELTA qualification in 2016. Since taking it I have tutored a variety of students one-on-one as well as leading a few group classes in my local area.
At university I studied Classical Studies so am incredibly experienced with writing essays and helping students who are struggling to structure and write essays.

I base my classes on the individual needs of each students. For example I had a student who mainly wanted to focus on English grammar so we started with the very basics, moving slowly through grammar points till it was more complicated- obviously we learnt vocab and had speaking practice naturally as we went along. On the other hand I had a student who wanted to focus solely on the nuances of the English language, and speaking with a more colloquial style. For this student we looked at at lot of idioms and spent most of our lessons talking. So its really up to the student, I am here to facilitate what you wish to happen!
