About Aine
I am a dyslexia specialist and have extensive experience of working with students with Specific Learning Difficulties and Special Educational Needs, including those with a Statement. I work with primary students, teaching all aspects of literacy (reading, spelling, writing skills, handwriting, grammar, study-skills). Throughout my ten year teaching career, I have had extensive experience supporting EAL children and I have also taught English as a Second Language classes to both older children and adults.

Over the past five years, I have taught in a private prep school, working with students on a one-to-one basis to successfully raise their literacy and English levels. I consider myself to be a very patient, creative and supportive teacher and I continuously endeavour to make children's learning experiences as engaging and stimulating as possible. I am very adept at developing students' self-esteem and their ability to overcome barriers to learning and I employ many meta-cognitive strategies in my practice.
