About Aubrie

It is most important to me that my students feel safe to make mistakes with me and confident in themselves throughout the entire learning process, even when learning something new may feel uncomfortable. Throughout the last 8 years, I have done just that with all my student populations, from 3 years of age to adults. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions always and letting me know if something doesn't make sense. I have an open door policy and course correct whenever necessary. Even if students do not reach out and I can intuitively feel that the subject matter needs further discussion, I will bring that to our attention. Most importantly, I want to have fun while we learn so our lessons feel less like work and more like innovative and easy-going learning. I can't wait to work with you!

About the lesson

I love to teach student populations and I love to have fun while learning. Learning should always have an aspect of fun to it. I absolutely love teaching reading and tying in student's general interests to our subjects matter through examples and conversation. My training is in pre-k through elementary ages, but English as a Second Language lessons are for any age group. I am specialized in languages and language driven lessons, and my experience in elementary and pre-k classrooms makes me a good teacher and tutor in all early education subjects.

As a tutor, what sets me apart is that I love spending time with kids and am inspired by their learning as a teacher. I love to have fun and laugh while focusing on the subject matter and goals at hand. I am passionate about my interests, including guiding children to their own success, both academically and social emotionally. I love to foster healthy communication with my students and their families about my students' goals, progress, and overall learning. I am dedicated to my student populations because I love to watch them thrive.
