About Simoné
I am a newly certified ESL Teacher.
I have also studied Teaching In Foundation Phase, in a private college called SANTS Private Higher Institution.. I passed my first year really well. I got a bit of experience from my practicals and a lot more experience when I moved to Eastern Cape Mount Frere to work at a local school as a Foundation phase student teacher.

For my teaching methodology... Firstly, I use the Interactive approach so that my learners will always feel engaged in all our lessons. Secondly the Direct Instruction method to test if they are able to follow and carry out instructions. Thirdly, Inquiry-based Learning , giving them the opportunity to have student talking time ( STT) and ask me any questions they might have on the lesson or activity I have given. Fourthly, Personalized Learning .. where I, as the tutor will have a one on one session with a learner that’s struggling with a certain activity or a learner that needs me to spend more time with them individually . Lastly, the game-based learning method.. ,I use game-based learning to make the lesson more fun and yet very educational for my learners, keeping them engaged and the lesson fun filled.
