About Martina
I am a passionate flute tutor with 12 years of experience, having guided over 150 students successfully. My approach blends technical training—breath control, finger dexterity, tone, and rhythm—with creative exercises such as improvisation and performance practice.
I adapt lessons to the student’s learning style and goals, making learning both effective and enjoyable. I also provide guidance in sight-reading, music theory, and ensemble work to give students a holistic musical education. My goal is to help students grow into confident, expressive, and motivated flautists.

My flute teaching methodology focuses on creating a personalised, adaptable, and inspiring learning environment. I start by understanding each student’s learning style—visual, auditory, or hands-on—and design lessons that align with their strengths and pace. This ensures that lessons are engaging, effective, and enjoyable.
Flexibility is at the core of my teaching. I adjust exercises, repertoire, and practice routines to suit each student’s goals, interests, and skill level. Collaboration is emphasised through duets, ensemble practice, and group activities, helping students build confidence, timing, and expressive ability. Positivity forms the foundation of every lesson, creating a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to explore, experiment, and celebrate their progress.
Alongside flute instruction, I include music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training. This holistic methodology balances technical skill with creative expression, preparing students to become confident, expressive, and versatile musicians.
